Mr. Satter has 18 years of experience in the valuation of real property and market studies on a variety of property types. He also has experience as an expert witness and has been qualified as an expert in the Circuit Courts of Cook, Lake and DuPage Counties of Illinois, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the North District of Illinois, the Chicago Zoning Board of Appeals, property tax appeal boards and the Chicago Planning and Zoning Commission.
Presently, Mr. Satter is the President of JCS Real Estate Services, Inc. His responsibilities include business development, appraisal production and review, administrative duties and management and training of staff. Previously, Mr. Satter worked as an independent contractor with the Wayne L. Wnek & Associates appraisal firm in the City of Chicago. His responsibilities included appraisal production, review and business development.
Mr. Satter is a designated Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and General Accredited Appraiser (GAA) of the National Association of Realtors (GAA). He has been engaged in the appraisal of real estate since 1992. His experience includes rendering opinions of value for private clients, financial institutions, mortgage brokers, attorneys, governmental agencies, accountants and private corporations. He is licensed in the State of Illinois and has additional experience working in Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan.
Mr. Satter has broad experience in the valuation of residential, commercial, industrial and special use real estate throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. Residential experience includes valuing riparian rights, high value custom construction and historic residences. Commercial experience includes a broad range of property types including shopping centers, industrial complexes, apartment complexes, live-work projects, office buildings, proposed construction, partially-complete projects and distressed property valuations. Specialized assignments include diminution of value and right of way vacation assignments. Special use assignments include movie theaters, synagogues, churches, residential detention facility and specialized industrial and construction facilities.
